Paleo Low-Carb

Fats are NOT Bad for You

When women hear the amount of weight I have lost thus far, they want to know how, and why.

When I share this, I often get asked the question, “Isn’t eating all that fat bad for you?”

First of all, I don’t eat “just” fat – I eat healthy proteins and lots of veggies too! Admittedly, my fat intake is higher due to my way of eating, however, the fat is not bad for you. That is a battle I will undoubtedly have to continue to pursue. My cholesterol levels fell with my new way of eating – they were between 205 – 210 prior to eating this way now my level is 150. My blood pressure is good – everything in my life is better now that I have been eating a low-carb diet. I still do not eat grain, sugar, four or many starchy veggies – and I am not suffering because of that.

I eat healthy real foods. I don’t even use artificial sweeteners anymore – I have switched to Stevia. The only time I do is when I eat the sugar-free jello and that is for family birthdays – because my children would be upset if I didn’t have something with them while they eat their cake. No, I have not forced my family to take on my dietary habits – I know very well that you must allow people to make their own decisions about what they will and will not eat.

We have been misled about so much via the media and doctors that use partial information to perform their scientific studies. They release them to the public and the public just believes everything they read – please don’t fall for that. Do your own research and determine what is best for you, your body and your health.
